After eight years new music is on the horizon...

Welcome to my new blog,

Please bare with me as I'm new to this blog stuff!
I haven't put out a recording since 1998's finaldemand album Fresh from the bottle.
see www.finaldemand.net for a re-fresher.

Over the next few months I will take you through the recording process of 2 new albums.

Keith has been busy writing songs for a new finaldemand album and I have been recording songs for my side project album "Pembrook Road".

I will be recording in my new 48 track studio "Polaris" and also with my mobile set up in my week-end home on the south coast of England.

This is the working area of "Polaris"

The mobile set up is a laptop running Ableton live and an M-Audio Ozone controller.

In the last eight short years music production technology has come on leaps and bounds! I just love the freedom the mobile stuff gives me, sitting on a beach is so much better than in a windowless studio!

Though "Polaris" does have its plus sides also.. Most of my sounds I'm using at the moment are from my Triton,JD800,JX10,DX5 and OB12 not the sort of stuff you could use on the beach.

all tracks are mastered and mixed using a euro desk mx8000 strait in to a Vampire Rack PC running wavelab 5 and EMU Emulator X.

see www.peterjames-stephen.com for more info on the vampire.

Music used to be 90% of my life I'm getting an urge to get back in the seat again.. This corporate life is great, but I know what I'd rather be doing......

see you next week.
